Year 4

We are now well into the spring term and 4K have begun their swimming programme. All of the children are working hard to become more confident in the water.

If you come down to year 4 on a Monday morning you may think you have arrived in South America as the children are learning about samba rhythms. Using a variety of instruments such as surdo,ganza and metal agogos the children are developing their skills and are looking forward to sharing their work with the other children.

We have now moved onto our Geography topic which this term is a village in India. We are lookng at the village of Chembakolli and slongside this we are also studying the religion of Hindusim.

The children have been working hard on their times tables and more and more children are achieving 100 percent which is fantastic!.This week the children have been learning the skills of chunking to help with the written method of division.
