St Mary and St Giles Church of England Aided Junior School is the only voluntary aided Church of England school within the city of Milton Keynes. The school is set in the historic market town of Stony Stratford. It has recently undergone major refurbishment and provides education for approximately 200 children aged between 7 and 11 from the town and the village of Calverton.
The school is committed to working within a broad Christian ethos, to have high expectations, both in behaviour and attitude, and to give to each child the opportunity to reach their full potential.
The staff and governors are committed to providing high quality education in a safe and happy atmosphere. We are a group of professionals constantly working towards improving standards in the school. We all work together to make sure every child reaches his or her full potential.
St Mary and St Giles is a happy thriving school. The children are confident and enjoy the lessons which are planned and delivered in an interesting and varied way. We have a strong pastoral tradition in the school and every child is valued for being themselves and treated as an individual.
We consider ourselves to be a large family and all the adults and children are proud to be part of the group in the school community. We value each other and always consider each other's opinions and beliefs. We listen to what other people have to say and treat each other as we would like to be treated ourselves.
